To participate in X's Creator Revenue Sharing program and receive payouts, your account must meet the following ongoing criteria. Here's everything you need to know about qualifying for X monetization in February 2026.
You must have an active X Premium, Premium Business, or Premium Organizations subscription. Individual Premium starts at $8/month (or $84/year). Premium+ is $16/month and provides additional benefits.
Your posts must have received at least 5 million Verified Home Timeline impressions over the last 3 months (views from Premium users in For You/Following feeds). This means an average of about 1.67 million impressions per month. Non-Premium views, replies, and search impressions don't count toward eligibility.
You need at least 500 verified followers. Verified followers are users who have X Premium subscriptions and display the verification checkmark. These are the users whose engagements will count toward your earnings.
You must connect a Stripe account to receive payouts. Stripe handles all payments and may require additional information like tax details (SSN for US creators, or equivalent for other countries).
Your account must comply with X's User Agreement, Creator Monetization Standards, and other platform rules. Violations can lead to suspension from the program. This includes avoiding spam, harmful content, and engagement manipulation.
You must be located in a country where X's monetization features are available. Most countries are supported, but check X's monetization settings in your account for specifics about your region.

Focus on creating content that appeals to professionals and business users, as they're more likely to have Premium subscriptions. Tech, finance, and business content tends to attract more Premium users.
Accounts can be suspended from the program for: engagement farming, spam behavior, posting harmful content, using bots, or artificially inflating impressions. Only authentic, organic interactions count toward eligibility and earnings.
