How we research, check and correct what we publish about X creator payouts.

Updated

Sources, in order of trust

  1. X's own documentation: the X Help Center pages for Original Content Rewards, Creator Monetization Standards, Subscriptions and Premium.
  2. X's official announcements from accounts such as @XCreators and @Premium, and statements by named X staff.
  3. Established news outlets reporting on those announcements, such as TechCrunch and NBC News.
  4. Creator reports, used only for payout rates, where X publishes nothing, and always labeled as estimates.

When sources disagree, we follow X's Help Center and say so on the page. For example, we note that news reports described X Money payouts as having no minimum while the Help Center still lists $30.

Facts in one place

Every number and date about X's programs (thresholds, deadlines, supported countries) is stored in one data file that all pages read from. When X changes a rule, we update it once and every page and tool updates with it. Each page shows the date its facts were last checked.

Estimates

X doesn't publish how much it pays per impression. Our calculator shows a range (low, typical, high) based on what creators commonly report, lets you enter your own rate, and can calibrate from your own past payout. We never present an estimate as an official figure.

Dates on our pages

"Published" is when we first published the page and "Updated" is when we last changed it in a meaningful way. We don't change dates to make a page look fresh.

Who writes

Content is researched and written by the X Payout Calculator editorial team. We don't publish sponsored posts, and we don't accept payment to mention products or services.

Corrections

If you find an error, email contact@xpayoutcalculator.com with the page and, ideally, a source. We fix confirmed errors quickly and note significant corrections on the page.
